John and Stephen McGonigle share a vision of great watch making. They believe that one of the great pleasures in watchmaking is working on a finely made and executed watch. They strive make their own watches so that they will be a pleasure to work on for whoever should service them in the future. It is John and Stephen's way of saying thanks to the great watchmakers who have given them so much pleasure in the past.

The brothers felt that if they were to embark on the challenge of making their own wristwatch they would want the watch to embrace some important core principles of watch making. These are principles that are present in the great timepieces that John and Stephen have been fortunate to work on in the past. McGonigle watches are created to encompass technical excellence, aesthetic beauty, resilience and longevity.

Having benefited from years working in Switzerland in producing complicated watches and prototypes for the most exclusive watch houses, and restoring antique horological pieces, John and Stephen McGonigle have decided to set up an independent and innovative watchmaking house.
