Thus far Jaquet Droz has presented extremely limited editions of timepieces with rare beauty, which are unique in terms of their configuration and complexity. Today they offer the ultimate luxury by catering to the client's desires and allowing them to develop their own model, keeping with their own preferences.

Lapis lazuli, rhondonite, Venus hair, meteorite, onyx, ruby heart, spectrolite, rutilium quartz, black obsidian, snowflake obsidian or Kandertal slate can be used to adorn the dial of a Jaquet Droz watch. Indeed any type of stone or mineral, even a personal stone brought by the client, may be considered, if it meets the exacting standards of Jaquet Droz master dial makers. 

Given the extraordinary level of mastery needed to make such a dial, Jaquet Droz produces only one for each natural mineral. Since the dial  will be crafted by hand into its final shape, the concept requires meticulous selection of the stone to be used for the dial. Due to the diameter of the Jaquet Droz watch, the stone must be free of inclusions and, in its final size, be broad enough to enable dial makers to reveal the typical characteristics of the mineral on the comparatively small surface of the dial. After the initial circle has been cut, revealing the perfect pattern for the future dial, hour of polishing are required to meet the technical requirements for exact thickness. The central cutout is the most delicate and requires extreme precision and care, due to the subtly balanced designs of the timepiece. Operations ranging from the preparation to completion of the dial are conducted over a period of three months from the time of order.
