KINGSQUARE

Recognizable even from a distance thanks to the sheer size and strength of its design, the latest model from the Manufacture ROGER DUBUIS, named KINGSQUARE, is a majestic newcomer to the Brand range. The case, offered in two sizes (a 40 mm men’s model and a 36 mm ladies’ version) is composed of parts crafted from noble or resolutely technical materials (gold, titanium, rubber, sapphire crystal), in which various colors harmoniously combined to offer a wide and subtle array of identifying features. One might well say that the KINGSQUARE is to ROGER DUBUIS what the "sports performance division" is to an automobile manufacturer. Imbued with the Brand’s unmistakable genetic heritage, this square-shaped watch features some extremely sophisticated technical characteristics. Its construction is truly original and its global concept is astonishingly innovative, since it offers scope for countless aesthetic variations. The model is cleverly curved to form three large horizontal facets that are echoed in the sapphire crystals both front and back.

The rear view lends their full dimension to the Manufacture-made proprietary movements splendidly decorated. These three facets exercise a singular refractory effect on the reading of the various dial information through the sapphire crystal. This has particularly spectacular consequences on the Tourbillon Squelette, featuring a sculptural beauty that is set off to magnificent advantage.

The white gold, rose gold or titanium of the case alternate in contrasting layers with black or white rubber. An additional applied rubber-molded rubber pad, screwed between the horns, provides an additional decorative feature that may take the form of various colors or precious materials set with diamonds or other gemstones. The rubber-molded crown matches the strap. The case-back – a metal frame inset with a facetted sapphire crystal – is surrounded in all four corners by a rubber pad with three drill-through five-sided titanium screws securing the back to the case middle and guaranteeing water resistance to 50 meters.

EXCALIBUR

The line has been consistently enriched with models meeting the most demanding and diverse expectations. All kinds of complications, from triple time-zone displays to minute repeaters and flying tourbillons, have found their place inside the precious case, composing genuine symphonies of technical sophistication. But EXCALIBUR is also an adornment dedicated to women looking for strong signature codes. Equipped with a flying tourbillon or a richly diamond-set case, the model now comes clothed in new guilloché-lacquered dials in tender almond green or sandy colors, or others in vivid pink or blue mother-of-pearl with matching straps.

A second line evokes lucky charm symbols highlighted by precious stones in which ladybirds, four-leaf clovers and dolphins play with a flying tourbillon. And finally, pastel-colored dials with superposed hearts and arabesques, with or without small seconds indications, offer a third variation on this charming theme.

When Carlos Dias presented his tenth collection, the EXCALIBUR line, he was not only revealing the result of his creativity, but also something of himself, so great was his personal involvement in this model. And is it of course no coincidence that he chose to call it EXCALIBUR. This legendary name inspires the unique strength of this model which has become a Brand icon and carries powerful innovative design features: a generous diameter, a wristband secured by the triple lugs now inseparably associated with the brand, as well as a refined crown guard and fluted bezel. Building upon this legendary symbolism, EXCALIBUR became such a solid pillar that the collection was soon to be interpreted in a range housing both simple movements and others with multiple complications. A peerless and immediately identifiable model sculpted in gold, steel or titanium, EXCALIBUR opted in particular to team up with a double tourbillon movement, the first of its kind within the Swiss watch industry.
